The Chief Administrative Office Early Talent program offers the opportunity to support one of our CAO businesses to learn and gain meaningful work experience while growing your business acumen. Chief Administrative Office (CAO) develops and manages enterprise services that create the best possible experience for our business partners, employees, and customers. With a focus on effectiveness and consistency, the CAO builds and maintains our buildings, keeps people safe, secures company assets, helps the business use data to make decisions, optimizes our supply chain, and more. The CAO Internship program offers alignment within one of the businesses below offering targeted development and programmatic experiences:
- Business Services & Transformation provides business management support to the CAO, supports selecting COO business routines and leads innovation capabilities for CAO.
- Corporate Properties Group delivers and maintains world-class space for employees and customers while strategically implementing corporate real estate transactions.
- Enterprise Business Resiliency provides guidance and support in developing, implementing, and exercising effective business continuity plans and coordinating and facilitating companywide incident response and information flow, and governing the Service Delivery Model.
- Strategic Programs & Enterprise Change Management brings together expertise in strategic execution and change management across the enterprise, helping the COO solve complex problems.
- Supply Chain Management global team manages the entireend-to-end supply chain process, with expert advice and sound execution.
Program Overview
The summer internship program is a professional development program providing participants with a 10-week overview of Wells Fargo and a high-level understanding of the company's operations, business strategies, and corporate culture. The internship experience includes relationship building, relevant work assignments, coaching, performance feedback sessions, and informative learning sessions with key stakeholders.
The internship is designed to provide undergraduate students with an experiential overview of the applicable team within The Chief Administrative Office and how they support developing, executing and supporting a streamlined approach to each of their individual businesses and the enterprise. The program incorporates real-world scenarios and experiences to help prepare you for a rewarding career at Wells Fargo.
The competitive internship program targets exceptional juniors and is a pipeline program where successful interns may receive an offer to return the following year to join the full-time Analyst Program. #earlycareers
Program Date:Summer 2027. 40-hour work week. Daily working hours are based on business need.
Program Locations:
- Charlotte, NC
- Participate in formal programming and workshop initiatives
- Review various assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables
- Receive direction from managers in a matrixed environment and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in the following majors: : Business Administration, Accounting, Analytics & Data, Business Intelligence, Communication, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Government, Management and Risk Management, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Policy & Management, Pre-law, Real Estate, Statistics, Supply Chain, Technology, or related business field with an expected graduation between December 2027 - June 2028
- Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities through one or more of the following: volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad program(s), leadership position(s), non-profit involvement
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
- Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools (such as chat-based assistants and built-in features like Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday tasks including research, organizing information, and creating presentations with a strong interest in learning and using these tools responsibly.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use data insights, learn quickly, adapt to change, and support innovative solutions.
- Ability to execute with urgency, support business reporting and project management, drive operational excellence, and adapt effectively to change with an enterprise mindset.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster an inclusive environment and actively seek and apply feedback.
- Business acumen and business analysis skills, with a strong service orientation and the ability to support solutions that drive clients and business impact.
- Ability to act with integrity, identify and manage operational risks, and apply regulatory compliance principles to support well-controlled operations.
- Ability to travel 5% or more of the time.
