Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Cost Estimating Analyst. This position will be located at our Space sector in Redondo Beach, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space Sectors Business Management Organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customers.
- Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data.
- Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor.
- Prepares and maintains historical cost data. Creates cost models for cost estimating elements.
- Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors.
Basic Qualifications:
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
- Has completed their bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Having majored in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analysis, Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Global Supply Chain, or another similar field
- Be able to obtain a U.S. Government Top Secret (TS) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Experience with MS Office Suite; Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
- Have an Active Top Secret (TS) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance
- Prior pricing, estimating, proposal, or material estimating experience
- Proposal experience within government contracting
- Previous work experience with SAP or Costpoint
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other government regulations
