Position: 2025 Summer Intern - Sovereigns (Dublin)

Summary:
KBRA Europe is looking for an Intern to support its growing Sovereigns group that conducts credit analysis and monitors its portfolio of sovereigns, sub-sovereigns and supranationals primarily in Europe. The intern will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience into the life of a credit rating agency analyst and to learn valuable skills coveted in any corporate setting.
We are looking for a candidate who will thrive in a dynamic environment where multitasking and analytical skills are essential. The position has a duration of up to 9 months. This role will be based at KBRA’s Dublin office.
Key Job Requirements:
- Provide analytical support in surveillance and new deal workflows
- Develop analytical materials to support the ratings process
- Support the team in database and data analytics needs
- Lead/assist in the development of sovereigns’ analytical tools
- Contribute to macro focused research
- Participate in due diligence meetings
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, international affairs, finance, business or any related fields result in strong analytical skills
- Keen interest in politics and policy, global affairs, macroeconomics, credit analysis and capital markets
- Knowledge of sovereign credit metrics and sources of data
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in SQL and VBA for querying databases is a strong advantage
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Curiosity and ability to learn quickly
- Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with others in a collaborative environment
