We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Project Engineer to join our international engineering team and contribute to high-criticality industrial automation projects, working with advanced technologies and multidisciplinary teams.
Job Description
As an IT Infrastructure Project Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing our IT infrastructure solutions within customer environments. You will participate in all stages of the project: deployment, configuration, validation, commissioning, and handover to our customers and Services team. Projects typically last 6–16 months and involve both factory activities and on-site execution in 24/7 industrial environments.
You will collaborate closely with IT, OT, Controls, Project Management, and Services teams to ensure that the solution delivered meets the technical and operational requirements of each project.
Your responsibilities
Deploy servers, network components, storage solutions, and other IT infrastructure elements according to project designs.
Prepare, test, and validate the solution before shipment.
Perform installation, configuration, and commissioning in factory and customer sites.
Execute infrastructure tests and review technical documentation.
Analyse and resolve issues related to Windows, Linux, virtualization, networking, and storage.
Escalate complex issues to specialized teams when needed.
Provide Level 1–2 support in high-availability, mission-critical environments.
Coordinate deliveries and activities with project members and external partners.
Identify resource and material needs across the project lifecycle.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure project deliverables are fulfilled.
Support multiple projects simultaneously (typically around 4).
Your profile (Must have):
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure: servers, operating systems, virtualization, networking, storage, backup/restore, and basic security.
Strong experience with Linux and container technologies (Docker).
Previous experience implementing IT infrastructure solutions.
Familiarity with Azure, ESXi, server hardware, and monitoring tools (OP5, Nagios).
Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Technical Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience in industrial or real-time systems.
Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (NIS2, IEC62443, NIST).
Experience with HPE, Fortinet, Cisco hardware or TCP/IP interfaces.
Soft skills (Mandatory):
Hands-on, pragmatic and result oriented mindset.
Strong planning and communication skills.
Willingness to travel internationally (30%–50%).
Driving license.
