Omni Logistics, a third-party logistics company, has opened a new Dallas headquarters to accommodate its growing workforce.
Omni Logistics employs 4,500 people across 100 offices in more than 20 countries. The Dallas team previously worked out of a space at 3100 Olympus Blvd., Suite 420. As the company and its corporate team grew, it moved next door to a wind-powered building at 3200 Olympus Blvd.
The new 52,000-square-foot office, which spans the entire third floor of the building, was built and customized to Omni’s needs by HKS Architects. The office has room for Omni’s 85 Dallas employees, with room for further expansion.
The workspace features 16 conference rooms outfitted with Logitech video conferencing technology, a tech-enabled training facility and an in-house video production studio. There’s also a demo room where customers can try out new technologies and provide direct feedback to Omni’s technology development team.
In the office lobby hangs a living green wall in the shape of the company’s logo — a symbol of its commitment to environmental sustainability.
“As signatories to The Climate Pledge, Omni Logistics is committed to leading the way to a more sustainable supply chain industry by making sustainable choices within our own business and providing our clients with the visibility and data required to identify opportunities for reducing the carbon footprint of their freight and overall supply chains,” Omni Logistics CEO JJ Schickel said in a statement. “This is in response to our own values, global demand, industry demand and employee and prospective employee demand to work for an environmentally conscious company.”
Omni, which is number 35 on Transport Topics’ list of the 100 largest logistics companies in North America, recently announced the opening of three other new facilities, including a 190,000-square-foot warehouse and cross-dock facility in San Francisco, a 150,000-square-foot warehouse and cross-dock facility in Philadelphia and a 9,000-square-foot office in Phoenix.
