Last month was a quieter month for tech investments in Dallas, however, the funding that did occur included a massive investment for a digital marketing platform. Two innovative health care startups also raised additional capital. In total, four local tech companies raised $344 million in November.
#4. $2 million, November 16
Launched in 2019, Rosy Wellness is a sexual wellness and educational digital platform designed with the goal of empowering women by destigmatizing sexual health. Through the app, users get access to videos, classes and sex coaching. The company’s $2 million seed funding round was led by True Wealth Ventures. Rosy Wellness will use the new capital to continue supporting its mobile app and grow its team.
#3. $7 million, November 18
Southlake-based medtech startup AvodahMed secured $7 million last month to grow its digital platform. AvodahMed uses AI and digital solutions to provide quality access to healthcare in socially-distanced manors by providing video conferencing between doctors and patients.
#2. $35 million, November 30
On the last day of the month Solutions by Text announced it secured $35 million in growth financing. Dallas-based Solutions by Text offers SMS solutions that allow financial institutions to use text messaging to market and communicate with customers. It also enables payments through text.
#1. $300 million, November 22
The largest investment of the month was secured by influencer marketing platform LTK, which raised a $300 million investment from SoftBank Vision Fund 2. LTK works on several fronts. It is a social app where influencers can post sponsored content. It also connects brands with influencers best suited for its audience and provides end-to-end campaign management for brands. LTK stated it will use the new capital to “aggressively” hire to expand its team.
