Supports the Head of Finance with financial modeling, valuation, capital allocation, financing, and deal-structure analysis for geothermal projects. The role evaluates project economics and portfolio investments, develops complex infrastructure finance models, and supports the structuring, negotiation, and execution of debt and equity transactions. It requires cross-functional collaboration with development, exploration, and land acquisition teams, along with clear communication of financial impacts to non-financial stakeholders.

Manage strategic partnership and government-funded projects from planning through execution. Coordinate cross-functional teams, partners, vendors, and consultants; track schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, reporting requirements, cost share, invoices, and deliverables. Facilitate meetings, document decisions, prepare executive updates, support DOE and DOD grant administration, and improve project-management systems and workflows. The role requires strong organization, communication, ownership, and the ability to create structure in an evolving startup environment.

Serve as Zanskar’s first in-house legal leader and trusted advisor to founders and executives. Manage corporate governance, financing, project development, commercial contracts, public policy, employment, intellectual property, compliance, real property, and regulatory matters. Support project bankability, negotiate critical agreements, oversee outside counsel, and build scalable legal processes. The role also emphasizes AI and automation, practical risk management, and legal-function development within a growing geothermal energy company.

Own month-end close, journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, cash matching, financial statements, and audit support. Partner with FP&A on budgets and variance analysis, improve accounting workflows using NetSuite, Excel, and AI tools, and provide accurate financial insights to leadership, investors, and regulators.

Manage contract review, drafting, negotiation, compliance, legal risk mitigation, corporate filings, investor diligence documentation, and employment-related legal matters. The role partners with in-house counsel, HR, leadership, internal teams, and external counsel to improve legal processes, maintain organized records, ensure regulatory compliance, and support geothermal project agreements, including land deals.

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a distributed multi-physics well-targeting engine. Build resilient event-driven architectures, orchestration systems, scalable cloud workloads, persistent storage, and observability solutions. Collaborate with geophysicists, geoscientists, seismologists, and engineers while helping scale and improve system reliability. Mentor teammates and contribute to software engineering best practices, infrastructure, and cloud resource management.

Lead the design, development, and scaling of Zanskar’s distributed multi-physics well-targeting engine. Build resilient event-driven architectures, cloud workload orchestration, persistent data systems, observability capabilities, and cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers, migrate existing systems for scale and reliability, and mentor teammates. The role requires strong Python and SQL skills, software engineering leadership, and experience with cloud platforms, containers, infrastructure as code, and distributed computing.

Design, build, and maintain reliable distributed computing systems for a multi-physics geothermal well-targeting engine. Lead architecture and implementation of fault-tolerant event-driven systems, cloud workload orchestration, scalable data storage, observability, CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code, and cloud resource management. Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers, help scale existing systems, and mentor team members.
