Provide attentive supervision and age-appropriate activities in the YMCA Child-Watch area. Maintain child-to-staff ratios, ensure cleanliness and safety, implement programs, communicate with members, and uphold YMCA values.

Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing early childhood curriculum (RIELDS), supervise and support childrens social-emotional development, maintain health, safety, attendance and cleanliness, engage families, participate in trainings, and complete assigned duties under the Early Childhood Director.

Manage and supervise a school-age child care site: plan and lead activities, manage curriculum, maintain records, communicate with parents, supervise staff, ensure safety and compliance, and complete required training.

Assist the Lead Teacher with planning and implementing RIELDS-based curriculum, supervise and ensure children's safety, maintain attendance and classroom cleanliness, document children’s work, engage families, participate in trainings, and provide coverage as needed.

Lead and grow the branch aquatics program by recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising lifeguards and swim instructors. Ensure pool safety and regulatory compliance, manage pool maintenance and chemical records, develop swim lessons and team activities, oversee budgets and grant-funded programs, support marketing and events, and collaborate with branch leadership to improve member experiences.

Support lead teacher in planning and implementing early childhood curriculum (RIELDS). Supervise and engage children, maintain health/safety and cleanliness, record attendance and documentation, follow DHS licensing and family handbook, cover lessons as needed, participate in trainings and family engagement, and complete a yearly professional development plan.

Support Lead Teacher and Early Childhood Director in planning and implementing classroom curriculum using RI standards. Supervise and engage children, maintain health and safety, record attendance and documentation, assist with room setup and lesson plans, participate in family engagement and staff trainings, and complete required professional development and certifications.
