Assists the lead teacher with preschool curriculum implementation, classroom supervision, child safety, attendance, cleanliness, family engagement, and social-emotional development. Maintains licensing and YMCA policy compliance, participates in training and meetings, supports classroom coverage, and builds positive relationships with children and families.

Assists the lead teacher with planning and implementing early childhood curriculum, supervising children, supporting social-emotional development, maintaining classroom safety and cleanliness, documenting activities, communicating with families, and following licensing requirements. Participates in trainings, meetings, family engagement activities, and professional development. Must be able to provide classroom coverage and safely lift or assist children as needed.

Support Lead Teacher and Early Childhood Director in planning and implementing classroom curriculum using RI standards. Supervise and engage children, maintain health and safety, record attendance and documentation, assist with room setup and lesson plans, participate in family engagement and staff trainings, and complete required professional development and certifications.
