Requires a valid driver’s license, forestry, arboriculture, environmental science, or related education or experience, plant identification and invasive species knowledge, strong communication, and comfort working in rugged outdoor conditions.

Leads utility vegetation management operations, contractor performance, field teams, emergency response, scheduling, safety compliance, and process improvement. Coordinates with PG&E representatives, agencies, contractors, customers, and vegetation inspectors. Resolves operational and database issues, supports field visits and project management, monitors equipment and vehicles, and works independently in rugged terrain and varying weather conditions.

Lead and manage large, complex environmental and UVM projects: oversee budgets, schedules, stakeholder communications, permitting compliance, engineering planning (AutoCAD Civil 3D), team staffing and mentoring, proposal development, and client/agency relationship management.

Lead field vegetation management teams for utility right-of-way programs: coordinate operations and scheduling, support inspectors, resolve customer/crew access issues, conduct field reviews and agency meetings, enforce safety, maintain equipment, and liaise between clients, crews, and customers.

Perform field-based biological surveys and monitoring (special-status plants and wildlife, nesting birds, vernal pools, habitat assessments) and provide construction monitoring to ensure resource protection. Work includes multi-day field assignments, occasional desktop tasks, agency coordination, and use of standard field equipment and GIS tools.

Lead field vegetation management operations for utility right-of-way projects, supervise contractor teams, coordinate with PG&E representatives, manage scheduling and safety, support inspectors and agency meetings, perform problem-solving and data troubleshooting, and provide emergency response and hazard tree removal support as needed.

Perform field-based vegetation and hazard tree inspections for utility line clearance, plan contractor work, collect and validate tree data, enforce safety, interact with property owners and agencies, and maintain equipment and reporting accuracy.
