Leads policy initiatives protecting wild animals in the pet trade by researching legislation, lobbying, coordinating grassroots campaigns, managing coalitions and contract lobbyists, drafting advocacy materials, and overseeing project budgets. The role requires successful legislative advocacy, stakeholder engagement, campaign delivery, and strong communication skills. It is fully remote, preferred on the West Coast, requires up to 30% travel, and is funded for one year with possible extension.

Coordinate grants throughout their lifecycle, including setup, implementation, monitoring, reporting, compliance, risk management, and close-out. Interpret grant agreements, track obligations and deadlines, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with funders, recipients, delivery partners, finance, and internal teams. Provide specialist grant-management advice and contribute to improving processes, guidance, templates, and reporting systems across a global organization.
