Lead and execute human factors evaluations to support design and certification of eVTOL aircraft and ground control stations. Develop task analyses, identify high-risk scenarios, plan studies, collect/interpret subjective and physiological data, and provide design and requirements recommendations across cross-functional teams.

The Systems Engineer will support the development and integration of avionics systems for an autonomous eVTOL aircraft, focusing on Ground Control Station and Airborne Comms. Responsibilities include requirements validation, system design, and safety-critical system integration.

Lead system architecture, development, integration, verification and certification for a Vehicle Management System and other avionics on a novel autonomous UAM aircraft. Guide systems engineering teams, perform safety-critical integration reviews, run trade studies, collaborate with hardware/software/manufacturing/test/certification teams, and mentor engineers while ensuring compliance with FAA/EASA regulations and avionics standards.

Develop, integrate, and maintain autonomy software for surrogate aircraft and test benches. Build end-to-end test tooling from simulation to flight, automate deployments, capture and validate sensor and network data, and support flight test planning and execution.

Design, integrate, configure, calibrate, and maintain flight test instrumentation systems for eVTOL flight testing. Support FTI requirement development, component design reviews, data acquisition, troubleshooting, configuration control, installation coordination, test execution (ATS/ATP/SDD), tooling/software support, and calibration activities. Collaborate with IPTs and flight operations and travel as needed to support test events.

The Electric Propulsion Motor Lead will design, test, and integrate electric motor systems for autonomous EVTOL aircraft, lead a team, and ensure certification compliance.

Design, develop, deploy and troubleshoot HIL/SIL and system-level real-time simulations. Support rapid prototyping and IPTs for aircraft development, flight test, autonomy and R&D. Apply software architecture best practices, CI/CD, and maximize reuse across local and cloud simulation assets.

Lead aircraft systems integration, ensuring design, verification, and certification readiness. Drive ARP4754/4761 compliance, safety analyses, trade studies, requirements decomposition, system validation, and end-to-end integration for flight test and certification.

Lead implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management System across design, manufacturing, and testing. Conduct and coach hazard and risk assessments, produce SMS documentation and visualizations, train staff, perform root cause analyses, standardize safety practices, and support regulatory approval. Onsite role based in Fremont.
