Provides clinical nursing support in a medical office by assessing patients, recording histories and vital signs, administering injections, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, triaging communications, coordinating referrals and consultations, obtaining prior authorizations, maintaining supplies and pharmaceuticals, supporting office laboratory quality assurance, and counseling patients on health-related concerns.

Provides administrative and clinical office support for a gastroenterology practice. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments in Allscripts, maintaining patient records and information, verifying insurance eligibility and precertification, scanning documents, answering phones, communicating office policies, supporting HIPAA compliance, and providing basic patient information under physician direction.

Processes laboratory specimens and electronic orders, admits requisitions, schedules appointments, communicates with medical offices, handles customer service calls, and performs phlebotomy when needed. The role also processes reference-lab testing, maintains specimen accuracy and patient identification, follows laboratory safety and regulatory requirements, trains new staff, and drives a courier vehicle for specimen pickups.

Perform high-quality echocardiography studies (TEE, stress echo, contrast), assist cardiologists with TEEs and cardioversions, respond to on-call STAT requests within 30 minutes, document measurements and findings, and provide portable studies when needed while maintaining patient safety and protocol adherence.

Provide patient care support in the Endoscopy Unit: prepare equipment/supplies, assist nurses and physicians, sterilize and process instruments, transport and lift patients, handle medications per policy, offer emotional support, participate in quality and training activities, and assist in other perioperative areas as needed.

Assist licensed pharmacists by preparing, distributing, and delivering medications; maintain inventory and records; operate pharmacy systems and equipment; perform clerical and transport duties; follow safety and communication standards while supporting patient care across all age groups and specialties.

Assist endoscopy staff with timely patient care, prepare equipment and supplies, sterilize instruments, support nurses during procedures, transport patients, handle medications safely, participate in process improvement and staff training, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

Provide holistic neonatal nursing care in a NICU/special care nursery: assess infants, plan and implement individualized care, perform procedures, manage medications, document, teach families, accept charge duties, and maintain competencies and a therapeutic environment.

Provide perioperative patient care in the main OR: prepare sterile field and instruments, anticipate supplies, perform counts, handle medications, maintain OR environment, assist surgeons and team, lift/transfer patients, document charges, and participate in staff orientation and education.

Provide administrative support to the Laboratory Director including vendor and supply orders, API editing, client communications, fax system monitoring, and resolving laboratory billing and coding issues. Perform charge reconciliation, work with PFS for billing accuracy, assist with coding and charge master updates, maintain inventory and attendance records, and ensure accurate specimen/patient identification. Requires strong computer, organizational, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills and four years' non-technical lab operations experience.

Provide supervised direct patient care under an RN to develop clinical skills, decision-making, delegation, prioritization, communication, and patient experience. Support clinical operations across medical-surgical units, work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
