Assistant Professor of Modern African American History responsible for conducting research, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students, and contributing university service. The position requires building an active scholarly program, teaching African American history and lecture or seminar courses, and supporting the graduate program. Applicants need a Ph.D. in History or a related field, relevant research and teaching experience, and graduate-level disciplinary coursework.

Provides administrative transactions, procurement, personnel and financial processing, office services, records maintenance, and meeting support. Manages communications and outreach by creating and distributing news stories, press releases, newsletters, web content, social media campaigns, and marketing materials.
