Operate excavators for loading, earthmoving, trenching, ditching, sloping, and civil construction projects. Complete equipment inspections, documentation, routine maintenance, and mechanical issue reporting. Read grades, stakes, plans, and site instructions while coordinating with foremen, gradepersons, labourers, and project teams. Maintain production and quality while following safety procedures and adapting to changing job-site conditions.

Performs grading and layout measurements for civil construction projects, including monitoring elevations, directing cut and fill work, measuring materials, interpreting blueprints, maintaining site records, supporting traffic control, and promoting workplace safety. Works closely with operators and foremen to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
