Leads ground-test engineering and technician teams while owning test strategy, facility infrastructure, safety, data quality, budgets, schedules, and customer deliverables. Oversees propulsion testing across performance, acoustics, structural dynamics, durability, environmental, and electrical systems. Develops instrumentation, data acquisition, automation, calibration, reporting, and quality processes, personally driving campaigns for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers.

Conduct CFD and aerodynamic analyses for advanced electric propulsion systems and airframe integration. Perform steady and transient simulations, design optimization, aeroacoustic and aeroelastic studies, code validation, testing support, and technical reporting. Develop analysis tools, support propulsor and airframe design decisions, and collaborate with flight sciences, engineering, project leadership, customers, and contractors throughout the product lifecycle.

Lead strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier industrialization, production planning, and logistics for electric aerospace propulsion products. Manage supplier selection, contracts, purchase orders, material availability, ERP/MRP data, BOMs, freight, import/export compliance, and aerospace quality requirements. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Finance to establish AS9100-compliant suppliers, mitigate shortages, and scale products from development through serial production.

Lead cross-functional development of electric ducted fan propulsion systems from concept through testing and certification. Manage program scope, schedules, budgets, risks, suppliers, customers, certification authorities, and technical decision-making. Facilitate design reviews, track execution with agile tools, communicate status to leadership, and support product roadmaps and technology maturation for future aerospace propulsion systems.

Design, analyze, and optimize aircraft propulsion structures using finite element and classical methods. Evaluate strength, deflection, vibration, fatigue, and damage tolerance; develop structural layouts, sizing tools, material allowables, technical reports, and testing support. Collaborate with design, flight sciences, hardware, customers, and contractors throughout project lifecycles. Preferred expertise includes aeroelasticity, structural dynamics, rotor blades, electric machines, composites, CNC machining, prototyping, and AI-assisted development workflows.

Designs and executes ground tests for electric aircraft propulsors, including strain, modal, acoustic, aerodynamic, and performance testing. Builds test rigs, selects and troubleshoots instrumentation, operates data acquisition systems, analyzes large datasets using MATLAB and Python, and leads test readiness reviews. Collaborates cross-functionally, mentors junior engineers, and supports propulsion development through experimental insights.

Coordinates cross-functional aerospace engineering projects by developing schedules, identifying critical paths and blockers, leading testing standups, defining requirements and milestones, managing risks, and communicating status and resource needs to leadership. The role balances technical performance, risk, and schedule while using agile tools to plan sprints, track progress, and maintain project documentation across hardware and hybrid hardware/software programs.
