Leads the architecture, development, security, scalability, and lifecycle delivery of firmware for IoT devices. Provides hands-on technical leadership, mentors firmware engineers, conducts code reviews, collaborates with hardware and product teams, evaluates technologies, and ensures reliable device connectivity, updates, and performance. The role also drives secure firmware protocols, supports cross-functional requirements translation, and oversees complex firmware projects from concept through implementation.

Lead embedded firmware development for IoT pet products, including motor control and robotic subsystems. Architect and implement firmware, drivers, device integrations, and cloud connectivity; manage releases, conduct code reviews, and perform integration and system testing. The role requires expertise in C/C++, FreeRTOS, embedded Linux, microcontrollers, communication protocols, OTA updates, and control theory. It also supports rapid prototyping, documentation, debugging, and collaboration with AWS cloud engineering teams.

Lead and develop distributed backend teams owning digital experience, robot services, IoT data ingestion, and cloud platform. Ensure reliability, scalability, API/device contracts, CI/CD, observability, hiring, performance, and coordinated releases across firmware, app, and cloud.

Lead assembly and production activities for robot lines to meet daily production and quality targets. Coordinate team member allocation, material flow, operator rotation, and line-side material handling. Ensure safety, quality, and cleanliness, develop KanBan processes, train and coach employees, cross-train across departments, perform QC verifications, pack shipments, and fill in for the Production Supervisor as needed.

Leads inbound receiving operations, inspecting shipments, verifying documentation, processing SAP transactions, staging materials, and managing supplier returns. Operates forklifts and loading dock equipment while maintaining inventory accuracy, safety, and organized warehouse areas. Coordinates with Supply Chain, Quality, Production, and Material Handling teams to resolve discrepancies, support inspections, and ensure efficient material flow.

Design, build, and operate shared backend services, serverless AWS infrastructure, and high-volume IoT telemetry pipelines. Lead platform migrations, own service reliability and on-call responsibilities, establish SLOs and observability, integrate agentic/LLM capabilities safely, mentor engineers, and coordinate cross-team technical initiatives to scale the platform and data ingestion into the analytics stack.

Lead inventory cycle counts, verify warehouse locations and material balances, investigate and resolve discrepancies, operate powered equipment, use WMS/ERP to record counts, support continuous improvement, prepare inventory reports, and ensure safety and SOP compliance.

The Plant Controller will oversee financial performance at Whisker's manufacturing facility, managing costs, analyzing efficiencies, and partnering with operations leaders to improve profitability and accuracy in financial reports.

The Robot Reconditioner inspects and restores returned units, ensuring quality standards while assisting with assembly and other repairs as needed.

Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for product launches and campaigns, manage the integrated marketing calendar, coordinate cross-functional teams and agencies, build marketing operations and tracking systems, measure brand performance and ROI, and lead a team of Brand Managers and MarOps to deliver consistent, scalable marketing execution.

Lead and coordinate assembly line operations to meet production and quality goals. Manage team allocation, materials, operator rotation, line-side handling, training, QC audits, Kanban processes, cross-training, safety initiatives, and communicate with engineering and management. Fill in for supervisor as needed and support continuous improvement.
