Supports the Strategy team in coordinating strategic activity across the Sanger Institute. Responsibilities include developing strategic plans and briefings, synthesizing evidence, conducting horizon scanning, researching emerging trends and risks, coordinating stakeholders, supporting workshops and senior discussions, tracking actions, and enabling evidence-based decision-making.

Leads the Human Genetics Programme’s AI/ML strategy, developing and validating predictive and causal models using genetic, genomic, multiomic, and longitudinal clinical data. Provides analytical direction, establishes shared methods and standards, contributes hands-on to inflammatory bowel disease research, mentors quantitative scientists, manages collaborations, and supports translation of models into clinical or health-system use.
