Partner across technical teams to align requirements, architecture, validation, and release decisions with a rigorous, scalable safety argument.

Own the architecture, strategy, and integrity of safety cases for robotaxi and ADAS products. Define safety claims, arguments, evidence structures, traceability, and assurance approaches spanning AI performance, engineering controls, validation, cybersecurity, and operational deployment. Provide independent technical challenge, identify safety gaps and residual risks, guide release decisions, and advise senior governance forums. Partner with engineering, product, AI/ML, systems, and operations teams while building organization-wide safety case capability and coaching leaders on evidence quality and structured assurance.

Build and improve reliability tooling, automation, observability, and incident-management processes for autonomous vehicle software. Diagnose complex production issues across Linux, systems, logs, metrics, traces, and vehicle data; develop solutions that accelerate detection, triage, and recovery. Collaborate with software, field engineering, and operations teams while supporting safety-operator tools and partner vehicle programs. The role requires production coding and hands-on systems debugging in a hybrid Sunnyvale environment.

Build and scale the platform powering Wayve’s data flywheel and foundation-model stack. Responsibilities include developing large-scale data curation, enrichment, evaluation, training, and serving infrastructure; implementing distributed processing, vector search, lakehouse, dataset versioning, and annotation systems; and transforming manual workflows into reliable self-service products. The role requires production ownership, observability, testing, on-call support, and close collaboration with Applied Scientists and ML Engineers.

Own the roadmap, development, validation, and deployment of Level 4 autonomous driving features. Partner with engineering, design, safety, systems, validation, commercial, OEM, and operational teams to translate embodied AI and end-to-end learning into scalable, reliable, customer-focused robotaxi products. Monitor industry trends, regulations, and competitors while leading product reviews and external engagements.

Lead the electrical architecture, mechanical design, integration, validation, and production readiness of autonomous driving hardware across vehicle platforms. Integrate compute, sensors, power systems, ECUs, networks, harnesses, and custom electronics; define requirements and interfaces; lead bring-up, troubleshooting, verification, and safety activities; manage technical risks and supplier/OEM relationships; support vehicle builds and mentor engineers.

Develop and localize autonomous-driving software for Japan by bringing up and validating AI software stacks on customer hardware. Port Linux, QNX, and Adaptive AUTOSAR systems; integrate drivers, middleware, boot configurations, diagnostics, logging, and secure boot. Collaborate with verification, release, OEM, and Tier 1 teams to resolve hardware integration issues. Automate flashing, setup, health checks, and target-hardware testing while integrating platforms into CI/CD, HIL, and test infrastructure.

Provides comprehensive support to executives and business operations, including calendar and time-zone management, stakeholder coordination, travel and logistics, events, expenses, internal communications, and process improvement. Owns release gates and quality standards across Wayve’s machine learning training and delivery lifecycle. Reviews model and metric changes, validates evaluation results, identifies pipeline bottlenecks, and builds checks and automation with AI Platform and CI/CD teams. The role also improves evaluation methodology, model delivery workflows, and MLOps practices while ensuring model releases meet safety and performance standards.

Develop efficient generative world models and planners for closed-loop autonomous-driving simulation. Responsibilities include designing diffusion or transformer-based models, enabling interactive agent simulation, optimizing inference latency and compute efficiency, defining evaluation metrics, integrating models into training and evaluation workflows, measuring sim-to-real performance, mentoring researchers, and contributing to technical roadmaps and publications.

Build and maintain scalable Python libraries, tools, and infrastructure enabling machine learning teams to train, evaluate, and deploy models at scale. Develop abstractions for distributed training, data loading, inference, checkpointing, and evaluation; support large GPU clusters and cloud environments; optimize multimodal data pipelines; and improve reliability through architecture, testing, observability, documentation, and maintainability.

Design digital in-vehicle and guest-facing experiences for autonomous-driving products. Conduct user research and usability testing, translate complex technical and operational needs into accessible journeys and interactions, and create flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready designs. Define interaction states, edge cases, and multimodal feedback using visual interfaces, sound, haptics, and lighting. Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams through discovery, validation, implementation, and delivery.

Leads and grows the OS engineering team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, roadmap ownership, resourcing, and delivery. Sets technical direction for embedded operating-system foundations, hardware enablement, deployment systems, CI, SIL/HIL testing, monitoring, quality gates, and OTA updates. Partners with vehicle software, hardware, model development, OEM, and external teams to ship reliable software across diverse automotive platforms.

Own the Israel site's network and infrastructure operations, including wired and wireless networks, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, hybrid cloud connectivity, security controls, and site deployments.
