Runs data imports and core income processes, including Direct Debit submissions and Gift Aid claims. Maintains data quality, resolves rejects, supports CRM and integration testing, and identifies automation and process improvements. Builds relationships with Data Engineering, CRM, Finance, Mass Engagement teams, and third-party agencies while ensuring compliance with financial and data regulations.

Maintain and improve WaterAid’s data protection compliance and risk management. The role supports information rights requests, coordinates data protection training, manages functional and organisational risk registers, maintains the UK Risk Management Policy, and liaises with senior stakeholders. It requires careful handling of confidential information, strong attention to detail, adaptability, autonomy, and collaboration. Experience with data protection legislation, DPIAs, LIAs, ROPAs, training, international privacy requirements, risk management, or director-level stakeholders is preferred.

Leads WaterAid International’s global assurance framework, providing independent assessments of governance, risk management, internal controls, audit effectiveness, accreditation, and financial crime prevention. The role develops audit plans, delivers assurance opinions to senior leadership and the Board, supports member countries with fraud investigations and risk management, and strengthens assurance practices across a complex international federation.

Chair the WaterAid International Board and provide inclusive, mission-driven governance to advance global access to safe and sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene. The voluntary role requires approximately 0.5–1 day per week, or 25–35 days annually, for a four-year term with a possible four-year extension.
