Provide individualized academic and career advising to first- and second-year students, monitor progress, retain advising records in compliance with FERPA, coordinate with faculty and campus stakeholders, use higher-education software and electronic forms, represent the department at recruiting and orientation events, and produce advising reports.

Lead student-centered programs that promote multicultural education, internationalization, and belonging. Oversee international student services (DSO/SEVIS), multicultural orientation, study abroad, retention initiatives, fiscal management, and supervise the Culture and Belonging team while collaborating across campus to support underrepresented students.

The Chair of Graduate Nursing provides leadership, oversight, policy development, faculty management, and program evaluation for the Graduate Nursing Department, ensuring academic quality and compliance with accreditation.

Lead and coordinate clinical labs, simulation, and clinical placements for nursing programs. Oversee equipment, organize and evaluate simulation scenarios using HSSBP/INACSL standards, mentor faculty, manage budgets and inventories, develop curriculum and community outreach, and support scholarship related to simulation.

Teach undergraduate BSN nursing courses (medical-surgical and/or critical care) in classroom, clinical, simulation, or online settings; advise students; engage in curriculum, accreditation (CCNE/OBN) activities; maintain clinical currency, scholarship, and service to the school and community.
