Manages the Automated Systems Engineering and Design Group, overseeing staff, schedules, budgets, quality, documentation, and compliance. Leads electrical engineering and automation projects, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI design and programming for aluminum-processing equipment. Serves as the primary technical customer contact, supports commissioning and troubleshooting, develops design standards, and contributes to production engineering, employee development, and continuous improvement. Periodic domestic and international travel to customer sites is required.

Designs, commissions, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical control systems, PLC and SCADA automation, control panels, process instruments, VFDs, servos, embedded systems, and electronic circuits. Supports industrial equipment installation at customer sites, provides technical service and customer training, participates in aluminum casting research and new product development, and helps transition products from R&D to production.

Designs, develops, and supports production of aluminum casting equipment. Creates customer approval and manufacturing drawings, evaluates design solutions for safety, functionality, and cost, and provides technical direction throughout projects. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, coordinates designers, communicates with customers, and supports equipment startup. Requires periodic domestic and international travel to customer sites, where manufacturing and construction hazards may be present.

Perform site evaluations, installations, start-ups, troubleshooting, and optimization of Wagstaff casting equipment. Analyze molten metal quality data to recommend process adjustments, train customers and staff, manage installations, conduct post-installation visits, participate in research and technical publications, and travel extensively domestically and internationally.
