Design, develop, and document mechanical casting equipment for aluminum production. Define requirements, produce design handoffs, ensure compliance with Aluminum Association molten-aluminum guidelines, perform technical evaluations, mentor junior staff, coordinate cross-functional work, and travel periodically to customer and company sites.

Perform stainless-steel and carbon-steel fabrication including TIG and MIG welding, read prints and Welding Procedure Specifications, perform weld mapping and recordkeeping, use precision measuring tools (Faro Arm), follow Nuclear Quality Assurance processes, complete quality verifications, and support process improvements. May perform TIP TIG and laser welding with oversight and use basic MRP systems.

Perform site evaluations, installations, start-ups, troubleshooting, and optimization of Wagstaff casting equipment. Analyze molten metal quality data to recommend process adjustments, train customers and staff, manage installations, conduct post-installation visits, participate in research and technical publications, and travel extensively domestically and internationally.

Apply mechanical/electrical engineering knowledge to customer sites: review proposals, produce conceptual and proposal drawings, develop specifications and deliverables, support sales order transfer to engineering, assist product development, and travel to customer sites as needed.

Design, install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control panels and industrial automation systems. Configure and commission PLC and SCADA systems (Ladder Logic, Python, FactoryTalk, Studio 5000, TIA Portal, SQL, GE iFix, Ignition, C/C++). Provide on-site customer service, training, and commissioning support with extensive travel in year one; transition to R&D and product development work thereafter.
