Candidates need 10+ years of procurement experience across data centers, energy, or large-scale infrastructure construction, with strong EMEA supply chain and matrix organization experience.

Own estimating standards, tools, and methods across Volta’s projects. Produce and assure estimates from feasibility through baselining, build should-cost models and benchmarks, support procurement negotiations, reconcile estimates with outturn costs, coach project teams, and inform design and delivery strategies. The role focuses on data center and major capital projects with MEP-heavy construction across European and US regions.

Leads Volta’s project engineering function and multiple concurrent GPU infrastructure deployments from deal discovery through operational handover. Owns technical feasibility, delivery commitments, scope, quality, acceptance criteria, risk, vendor relationships, resource allocation, and repeatable deployment standards. Builds and manages senior engineering teams, ensures clusters meet performance and operational requirements, and partners with platform and network engineering to automate delivery processes.

Support US employees and managers across workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, change management, policy implementation, compensation, benefits, and engagement. Provide guidance on multi-state employment law, especially California, coach managers, improve scalable People processes, and partner with global People, Payroll, Finance, and Legal teams to maintain compliant and effective employment practices.

Own end-to-end delivery of GPU cluster activations and data center infrastructure programs from planning through operational handoff. Coordinate construction, networking, hardware, power, cooling, commissioning, procurement, vendors, and operations across multiple workstreams and regions. Establish program roadmaps, risks, governance, runbooks, and reporting mechanisms while resolving blockers and improving deployment reliability. Present executive status updates, translate technical requirements into actionable plans, and drive scalable automation and process improvements in a fast-moving global environment.

Execute and maintain ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance programs, operate Vanta, collect audit evidence, support audits, assess risks and vendors, manage security obligations, maintain regulatory documentation, and translate controls into engineering work. The role also supports customer security reviews, physical security, incident compliance, awareness training, business continuity, and disaster recovery evidence.

Owns day-to-day safety for Volta’s Nordic construction project, including contractor oversight, inductions, inspections, audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, regulatory compliance, safety reporting, and coaching site teams. The role establishes site safety culture and applies company safety standards across live project activities.

Owns Volta’s safety strategy, standards, and management system across construction projects. Leads embedded safety professionals, establishes contractor safety requirements, conducts audits and assurance programs, investigates incidents, develops risk-leading reports, ensures regulatory compliance across European jurisdictions, and integrates safety into project design reviews. The role requires safety leadership across data center or mission-critical construction programs, contractor management expertise, and regular travel across European sites.

Owns Volta’s enterprise contracting strategy across data center and major capital projects. Establishes standard contract forms, flow-downs, commercial terms, governance, approvals, and compliance across jurisdictions. Leads major negotiations, claims avoidance, and disputes while providing functional leadership to project-embedded contracts teams. The role also develops commercial capability across the delivery organization and requires travel across project sites.

Lead product strategy and roadmap for Volta’s Kubernetes-native control plane managing compute, storage, and networking. Manage a team of product managers, partner with platform engineering and operations, prioritize scalable and reliable capabilities, define success metrics, and communicate priorities to customers and leadership.

Develops production Python or Go, builds configuration and validation tooling, exposes network capabilities through APIs, and improves observability. Troubleshoots congestion, packet loss, and control-plane issues; supports cluster bring-up, evaluates vendor designs, participates in on-call response, and collaborates on technical design and code reviews.

Own end-to-end accounting and financial control for large capital projects, including capex, CIP, equipment, accruals, commitments, cost structures, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end close. Partner with project, engineering, procurement, and FP&A teams throughout the project lifecycle. Support US GAAP policy application, SOX controls, audits, reporting, systems implementation, and project closeout.

Leads procurement across Volta’s AMER portfolio, including category strategy, supplier relationships, sourcing standards, project procurement plans, long-lead equipment, framework agreements, and vendor risk reporting. Manages the regional Category Management team and provides functional leadership to project procurement leads. Partners with delivery, project controls, and legal teams to align procurement with construction schedules and commercial requirements.

Owns quality strategy, standards, and management systems across Volta’s data center construction projects. Leads embedded quality teams, establishes inspection and testing standards, manages vendor quality and factory surveillance, oversees non-conformance and root-cause resolution, defines commissioning quality requirements, and conducts audits across active sites. The role also drives right-first-time practices and cross-project learning while traveling regularly to European locations.

Lead tax structuring and transaction work for fundraising, infrastructure investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, and financing. Build and stress-test tax models, assess international tax implications, coordinate due diligence and advisers, support governance and audits, and translate tax impacts into cash flow, valuation, and investor-return analyses. Partner with Finance, Legal, Capital Markets, and Corporate Development while helping scale tax processes and mentoring junior team members.

Leads Volta’s global total rewards strategy across compensation, equity, benefits, salary bands, benchmarking, annual review cycles, incentives, and pay equity. The role partners with Finance, Talent Acquisition, executives, insurers, and brokers to build scalable reward programs across North America and Europe, ensure legal compliance, manage benefits administration, and support international growth.

Own short-range cash forecasting, P&L reforecasts, variance analysis, burn and runway reporting, and accounting-grounded financial modeling across a multi-entity, multi-currency group.
