Perform barge and special-project repairs and fabrication: fit, fabricate, cut, weld, preheat, clamp and assemble parts; repair cracks and holes; instruct and train others in welding and safety; ensure compliance with safety rules and complete tasks on schedule.

Assist painters with surface preparation, mixing and applying industrial coatings (spraying, rolling, brushing), operating painting equipment, following safety procedures, supporting equipment setup and maintenance, performing quality checks, and maintaining housekeeping of paint areas. On-the-job training with classroom instruction toward Coating Technician progression.

Operate and maintain abrasive blasting equipment to prepare barge and equipment surfaces; perform surface preparation, clean and service blasting gear, use respirators and PPE, follow safety procedures, keep work areas orderly, and assist other departments. Must pass background, physical, and drug screen; work scheduled shifts with mandatory overtime and weekends as needed.

Perform routine environmental laboratory analyses and sample preparation (pH, halogens, flash point, PCB, metals, BS&W, solvent scan, BTU); ensure QA/QC for inbound/outbound wastes; enter results into Microsoft Access; perform instrument calibrations and proficiency tests; maintain databases, print reports, and keep the lab clean and safe.

Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, I-9/background checks, HRIS updates, benefits and FMLA support, employee relations and investigations, compliance tracking, report generation, and documentation. Support recruitment and maintain job descriptions. Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.

Provide timely technical support to end users across multi-site industrial operations. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and access issues, document tickets, follow ITSM processes, support onboarding, maintain asset inventory, enforce security policies, perform routine updates and maintenance, and coordinate vendor escalation and cross-site support including occasional travel and after-hours coverage.
