Role requires drug/background screening and physical abilities testing.

Direct and coordinate batch plant, tank, bath, and lehr operations to meet safety, quality, production, and cost goals. Monitor production and quality reports, implement corrective actions, recommend process and equipment improvements, inspect tank refractory daily, coordinate materials ordering, and support training and safety programs.

Lead hands-on research translating novel electrochemical and electro‑optical concepts into manufacturable glass products. Design and execute experiments, analyze data, document results, mentor junior staff, and support scale-up and IP evaluation to advance product development.

Manage, maintain, and improve lamination assembly production lines. Support manufacturing planning and layout, lead root cause analysis, write standard work, troubleshoot equipment, and prepare capital project justifications to reduce costs and improve safety.

Lead electrical engineering for plant power systems: design, maintain, and improve switchgear, transformers, motors, PLC/DCS controls, safety systems, and automation. Manage projects, maintenance programs, vendor interactions, documentation, troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with safety codes and company policies.

Supervise technical services for float glass tanks to maximize quality, production speed, yields, and equipment reliability. Provide day-to-day technical leadership, inspect processes, coordinate batch and tank operations, analyze production and quality reports, manage technical projects, and support training and safety programs.

Manage sales and profitability across a Central Plains territory by servicing glazing contractors, certified fabricators, and commercial customers. Promote and specify Vitro flat glass products, provide technical information and pricing, develop channel relationships, deliver integrated sales presentations, and support project fulfillment. Home-office based with regular travel to accounts and trade shows.

Lead development of process modeling, control, and optimization technologies from concept to commercialization. Perform technology scouting, project planning, CFD and heat-transfer modeling, optimization, and data analysis. Coordinate cross-functional teams, define safety requirements, and present findings. Support process improvements and travel up to 30% for project execution.

Manage HR administration for a manufacturing plant including recruitment, onboarding, benefits enrollment, HRIS recordkeeping, employee relations/leave administration, training, compliance with federal/state employment law, and support for labor relations and community functions.

Lead Technical Services and Sustainability functions to support customers, architects, and fabricators. Provide field support, manage product warranties and claims, influence legislation/standards, certify program participants, demonstrate glass performance for energy and aesthetics, and oversee sustainability program management and stakeholder communications to grow Vitro product use.

Design, build, maintain, and improve laboratory and plant-level test and measurement equipment. Develop instrumentation, prototypes, and data interfaces; lead process and product improvement projects; collaborate with controls, production, and quality teams; draft technical documentation and provide training.
