Designs, develops, builds, commissions, qualifies, and troubleshoots PVD equipment, especially magnetron sputtering systems for magnetic thin-film deposition. Leads equipment architecture decisions involving vacuum, gas and power delivery, magnetrons, and target assemblies. Supports R&D and manufacturing, resolves plasma and film-uniformity issues, collaborates cross-functionally, maintains equipment documentation and preventive-maintenance procedures, and implements reliability improvements and upgrades.

Owns electronic design for semiconductor- and scintillator-based radiation detector products and medical imaging systems. Responsibilities include designing high-speed analog and digital circuits, managing schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials, prototypes, and product development. The role communicates progress to leadership and R&D partners and may involve signal conditioning, DSP, FPGA, embedded systems, and firmware development.

Design, develop, and implement PLC-based controls for PVD inline and cluster tools; integrate sensors, HMI/SCADA, motion and safety systems; troubleshoot remotely and onsite; collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams; document ladder logic, I/O maps, and safety protocols; support customer integrations and upgrades (~25% travel).
