Supports aerospace hardware testing by fabricating, cleaning, activating, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining pressurized ground support equipment and test articles. Executes development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns; maintains laboratory and workshop infrastructure; interprets technical drawings and work instructions. Works with pneumatic, hydraulic, oxygen, refrigerant, vacuum, automation, control, and data acquisition systems supporting life-critical spacecraft hardware.

Develops and validates automated hardware-in-the-loop test systems for satellite and human-rated space-station avionics. Responsibilities include designing test assets, implementing system-level test cases, integrating and commissioning equipment, troubleshooting, leading design reviews, documenting systems, and mentoring engineers. Requires hardware test-system experience, Linux proficiency, electrical test equipment knowledge, root-cause analysis, and technical documentation skills. Preferred experience includes Python or C++, embedded systems, automated testing, space-system protocols, networks, CI/CD, and modular data-acquisition systems.

This 12-week onsite manufacturing engineering internship offers hands-on opportunities to design and build space hardware and software. Interns will work with engineering teams across areas such as additive manufacturing, avionics, industrial engineering, machine shop, materials and processes, mechanical subassemblies, structures, and vehicle testing. Candidates must be enrolled in a relevant engineering degree program and demonstrate technical problem-solving, collaboration, and engineering tool proficiency.
