Leads Vassar College’s special events and educational programming portfolio across on-campus, regional, and virtual formats. Manages the SEP team, develops mission-aligned programs, oversees event planning standards, builds cross-functional relationships, manages budgets and revenue goals, and analyzes performance metrics. The role requires strong leadership, communication, relationship management, CRM and technology proficiency, and flexibility for evening, weekend, and travel commitments.

Administers and strengthens Vassar College’s information security program through vulnerability management, forensic incident investigations, Linux and Windows systems administration, security procedure development, and application ownership. The role secures cloud, SaaS, and enterprise API integrations, manages security configurations, integrates threat intelligence feeds, and optimizes AI-driven security capabilities. It requires systems administration experience in complex enterprise environments, network architecture knowledge, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Provides administrative and operational support for the Registrar’s Office, including front-desk and phone assistance, registration and transcript processing, academic record updates, data entry, reporting, filing, calendar management, mail distribution, budget tracking, invoice processing, and commencement diploma coordination. Serves students, faculty, staff, alumni, vendors, and campus partners while troubleshooting inquiries and maintaining accurate student information.

Teach undergraduate contemporary and modern dance technique, seminars, and lecture courses; choreograph an annual original work; maintain an active creative or scholarly practice; mentor and advise students; contribute to curriculum development, departmental growth, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the intellectual and artistic life of the college.

The Assistant Director of Admission represents Vassar to prospective students, families, schools, counselors, and community organizations. Responsibilities include managing a recruitment territory, traveling for outreach, evaluating applications, supporting enrollment initiatives, organizing admission events, maintaining alumni and school relationships, supervising staff, and contributing to diversity, international, communications, and counselor programming. The role requires collaboration, strong communication, organization, analytical skills, technology proficiency, and extended work hours during peak admission periods.

Conduct financial, biographical, philanthropic, and quantitative research to identify and evaluate prospective donors. Prepare intelligence reports, briefing materials, trustee materials, and fundraising recommendations for advancement officers and senior leaders. Support portfolio reviews, solicitation monitoring, trip planning, database maintenance, data integrity, and staff training. Collaborate with fundraising partners while handling confidential information and applying prospect development best practices.

Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Political Science (American Politics with a focus on Constitutional Law). Responsibilities include teaching introductory through advanced courses, advising students, contributing to curriculum, conducting research, and serving on college and program committees. First-year teaching load is four courses; subsequent years are five courses or four classroom courses plus one intensive. Appointment begins 2027-28.

Tenure-track assistant professor to teach undergraduate courses (including statistics, intermediate clinical psychology, and an upper-level seminar), conduct research in clinical psychology/psychopathology (including areas like trauma, cross-cultural factors, underserved populations, or big-data methods), mentor undergraduates in intensive mentored experiences, and contribute to multidisciplinary programs. Teaching load: four courses first year; subsequently four classroom courses plus one small intensive.

Tenure-track Assistant Professor in South Asian religions focusing on Hindu sources and critical approaches to gender, sexuality, race, or caste. Teach undergraduate courses (including one cross-listed in Women, Feminist, & Queer Studies), develop thematic courses, contribute to multidisciplinary programs, and pursue distinguished scholarly research. Ph.D. required by appointment. First-year teaching load four courses, then five courses per year (or four plus intensive student research).

Tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate French language, literature, and culture courses at all levels, engage in active research, and contribute to departmental and campus interdisciplinary programs. Preference for scholars with transnational/transhistorical perspectives on the Mediterranean or Francophone diasporas. Must be fluent in French and English, demonstrate teaching excellence, and complete a Ph.D. by appointment. First-year teaching load is four courses, then five annually. Ability to teach a translation seminar and direct the Vassar Wesleyan Program in Paris are pluses.
