Build production-quality motion-planning and manipulation systems converting CAD/process paths into collision-free, constrained Cartesian robot trajectories. Account for kinematics, inverse kinematics continuity, collision avoidance, external axes, calibration, sensor feedback, trajectory generation, and industrial robot integration. Debug on physical robots, create simulation/verification and logging infrastructure, and work with cross-functional teams to deploy and maintain reliable manufacturing automation.

Lead Valstad's maritime and defense commercial strategy: build relationships across shipyards, vessel owners, Navy, primes; identify and qualify opportunities; lead proposals, negotiations, and pilots; convert demonstrations into repeat production programs; coordinate with engineering and manufacturing; maintain pipeline and CRM; represent the company at industry and government forums.

Build full-stack applications that connect CAD models to robotic manufacturing: interactive 3D tools, backend services, CAD import and geometry pipelines, operator interfaces, revision and traceability systems, and integrations with robotics and factory systems. Own features from discovery through deployment and support.

Lead and scale Valstad's automated production: own output, quality, safety, reliability, staffing, and continuous improvement. Industrialize robotic welding, material handling, assembly, and inspection; establish production planning, maintenance, and operating systems; recruit and develop manufacturing teams; partner with engineering to transition processes into repeatable production.

Develop production-quality interactive 3D and manufacturing software for a robotic shipbuilding platform. Work with CAD-derived geometry, robot paths, manufacturing data and factory users to design, implement, test and deploy a scoped frontend or full-stack feature used in Valstad's Austin facility.

Work on a scoped robotics-software project (manipulation, motion planning, simulation, or verification). Implement, test, document and validate tools using Rust and/or Python, simulation and recorded data, and real industrial robots. Build automated tests, analyze logs, participate in reviews, and present a demonstrated capability integrating with Valstad's robotics platform.
