Second Officer position aboard a 2020-built containership. Responsibilities include watchkeeping/navigation, voyage planning, cargo operations support, safety and emergency duties, maintenance of deck equipment, regulatory compliance, and communications while onboard. Joining date 01 August 2026.

The Second Engineer supports the Chief Engineer, managing engine department operations, supervising junior officers, and maintaining machinery systems on a container ship.

Serve as the Chief Engineer's deputy and lead the engine department: supervise engineering officers and ratings, prepare main propulsion for sea, maintain auxiliary/cargo/deck machinery, and ensure machinery space cleanliness and structural integrity.

Manage and supervise technical stores aboard the cruise vessel: ordering, receiving, storing, inventory control, documentation, supplier sourcing, team leadership, budget control and coordination with engineering to support planned and unplanned maintenance while ensuring safety and compliance.

Serve as the engine room watchkeeping officer on Swan Hellenic Diana, operating and maintaining main and auxiliary engines, supervising engine-room crew, executing repairs and maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance (STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC), overseeing safety/pollution prevention, maintaining logs and spare parts, and coordinating with technical and hotel departments.

Second Engineer for an ASD offshore support tug (built 2024, 189 GT). Requires at least 2 years offshore ASD tug experience and an Unlimited Certificate of Competency. Role focuses on vessel engineering duties, safety, and ship management aboard the tug.

Operate as Second Officer (DPO) on an offshore support vessel; must hold DP Unlimited and have solid offshore experience. Candidate will initially serve as Chief Officer for ~one week before moving to the 2nd Officer role. Deliver safe ship operations and adherence to company safety and ship-management procedures.

Lead the Engine Department responsible for safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all shipboard machinery and electrical systems; supervise engineering officers and ratings; implement PMS; ensure environmental, safety, and classification compliance; manage fuel, lubricants, waste, maintain Oil Record Book, and oversee bunkering operations.

The 3rd Officer maintains safe navigation watch, assists with safety protocols, and ensures compliance with regulations while overseeing crew operations onboard the ferry.

Lead the Engine Department; ensure safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and electrical systems. Supervise engineering officers and ratings, implement PMS, maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and classification requirements, manage fuel, lubricants and waste, maintain the Oil Record Book, and oversee bunkering operations.

Command the expedition cruise vessel Magellan Discoverer, ensuring safe navigation, guest and crew welfare, regulatory and environmental compliance, and operational readiness. Lead safety drills, oversee maintenance and medical preparedness, manage budgets and documentation, liaise with authorities, train and develop officers, and enforce company safety, pollution prevention and security policies during polar voyages.

Perform daily cleaning, maintenance and painting of engine spaces and machinery during dry dock. Assist engineers with engine overhauls, pumps, welding, lathe operations, steelwork and pipe fittings. Monitor and inspect machinery, report deficiencies, follow safety and pollution prevention procedures, and maintain engine room cleanliness and equipment handling.

Lead and manage the vessel engineering department aboard a 1,368 GT offshore support vessel. Oversee operation, maintenance, and safety of propulsion, power, and auxiliary systems; ensure regulatory compliance and planned maintenance; supervise engineering crew and spare parts. Requires prior experience on similar vessel types. Contract approximately 4 weeks (±2).

Temporary AC Wiper on a cruise vessel during dry dock responsible for daily maintenance, cleaning and minor mechanical tasks in engine spaces. Assist engineers with overhauls, pumps, welding, lathe work, steelwork and pipe fitting. Maintain safety, report defects, use engine room alarms and communications, and uphold company, health and maritime standards. Requires valid STCW and Engine Watch Rating, prior vessel experience, and ability to work in confined, noisy environments.

Serve as the vessel's primary Navigation and Medical Officer: plan safe passages, maintain bridge equipment, charts and publications, conduct navigational watches, manage medical stores and crew welfare, and assist the Chief Officer with cargo, ballast, mooring parties and port watches.
