Strozak once thought that the only way for teams to get quality work accomplished at a product and engineering company like Upwork was to work in the same location. But that thinking has since evolved. Even before the pandemic, Strozak said Upwork had team members working and collaborating in more than 800 cities worldwide. Since embracing a remote-first model, Upwork hasn’t missed a beat, Strozak said.
