Provides literacy and instructional support through teacher coaching, professional development, curriculum planning, data analysis, small-group student intervention, assessment design, and progress monitoring. Collaborates with administrators and instructional teams to improve teaching quality, align standards and curriculum, address student needs, and increase academic achievement. May teach classes when necessary and oversee administration of the PSSA.

Provides mathematics instructional coaching, teacher development, curriculum alignment, and data analysis to improve student achievement. Delivers small-group intervention and enrichment, observes and models instruction, supports assessment and pacing plans, and collaborates with administrators and academic teams. The specialist also helps develop professional development, intervention programs, and school policies, monitors student progress, and may teach classes when needed.
