Teams at Universal Charter Schools

Provides full-time classroom coverage for an absent teacher, delivering curriculum, preparing lesson plans, adapting instruction, assessing student progress, maintaining records, managing classroom behavior, communicating with families and counselors, supervising activities, administering tests, and participating in school committees and student activities.

Supports student safety, academic and emotional growth through MTSS case management for Tier 1 and 2 scholars. Documents interventions, manages behavior and attendance supports, facilitates transitions, reinforces positive conduct, monitors unstructured areas, implements school climate initiatives, and uses conflict-resolution, restorative-practice, and crisis-management techniques to prevent escalation and maintain a learning-conducive environment.

Assists the classroom teacher with lesson preparation, student engagement, behavior management, assignments, grading, attendance, progress records, and student supervision. Supports classroom activities, field trips, extracurricular programs, and student needs while operating audiovisual equipment and maintaining confidential information.
