The Staff Nurse (RN/GN) is responsible for promoting health, diagnosing, treating, and advocating for patients while ensuring compliance with nursing standards.

Designs, delivers, and evaluates nursing education programs including onboarding, competency validation, credentialing, and preceptor development. Mentors and coaches nursing staff, collaborates with leaders to identify learning needs, and supports continuous professional growth to improve patient care.

The Staff Nurse provides health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment while promoting a healing environment and ensuring adherence to professional standards.

Schedule and register patients, provide customer support, ensure financial compliance, and collect accurate billing/account data for outpatient services. Act as entry point to promote a professional, caring experience and support revenue cycle operations.

Coordinate daily ICU operations and staffing, act as a clinical resource and liaison, support Nurse Manager in performance improvement, education, orientation, and staff evaluation, ensure patient and staff safety, and participate in quality initiatives.

Lead and coordinate daily Operating Room nursing operations: manage staffing and schedules, supervise assignments, serve as clinical consultant, recruit and orient staff, mentor and evaluate personnel, ensure policy and regulatory compliance, participate in performance improvement, act for the Nurse Manager when absent, provide direct patient care as needed, and oversee supplies and equipment.

Assist in design, development, configuration, implementation, training, evaluation, and support of healthcare applications. Work with team members and key customers to ensure proper development, training, and deployment of application functionality (Epic).

Provide patient-centered nursing care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy. Ensure compliance with NYS Nurse Practice Act, UHS policies, ANA standards, and professional development. Work per diem as assigned to promote health, prevent illness, and alleviate suffering for individuals and families.

Provide patient-centered nursing care in the Emergency Department, following NYS Nurse Practice Act and UHS policies. Assess, diagnose, treat, advocate, and promote health; maintain professional development and required certifications.

Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department: assess, plan, implement, delegate and evaluate nursing care; administer medications; educate patients and families; support unit operations, charge duties, professional development, and participate in quality improvement and shared governance.

The Clinical Supervisor Nursing facilitates communication and problem-solving among nursing staff while ensuring quality patient care and providing guidance and support to nursing employees.

The RN provides patient-centered care through health optimization, illness prevention, and advocacy, ensuring compliance with nursing standards.

Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients; ensure compliance with nursing standards, NYS Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies; promote patient-centered, compassionate care; participate in professional development and maintain required certifications.

Provide patient-centered nursing care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, advocacy, and documentation. Ensure compliance with NYS Nurse Practice Act, UHS policies, ANA standards, and patient rights. Promote healing environment and professional development.

Perform gross examinations and dissections of surgical specimens, assist in gross room operations, follow NYSDOH/CAP/CDC standards, maintain records and supplies, and collaborate with pathologists and lab staff to ensure accurate, timely diagnostic specimen processing.

Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients on an evening rotational schedule. Administer treatments, monitor patient status, coordinate with interdisciplinary team, document care, and support patient/family education. Maintain certifications and NYS RN licensure; participate in unit initiatives and continuous professional development.

Manage purchasing and contracting for commodities, equipment, and services across UHS facilities. Solicit bids, evaluate cost effectiveness, investigate alternatives, negotiate with vendors, and coordinate cross-functional contracts with procurement and system stakeholders.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care, promotes health, and complies with professional standards. Responsibilities include advocating for patients and ensuring care excellence.
