Leads electrical engineering, installation oversight, commissioning, and startup for an industrial manufacturing facility. Oversees power distribution, equipment connections, code compliance, electrical safety, robotic and automated equipment integration, testing, troubleshooting, contractor coordination, and system turnover. Provides technical leadership while maintaining drawings, specifications, documentation, and preventive maintenance requirements. Supports safe, reliable, scalable manufacturing operations and future production-line expansion.

Develop and release manufacturable mechanical designs for precision defense-grade metal components, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment. Create SolidWorks models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications; apply GD&T and tolerance analysis; support design reviews, configuration control, inspections, qualification, and production. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, process engineering, machinists, and suppliers to resolve design issues and improve manufacturability, repeatability, and yield. The role includes hands-on factory-floor support and physical demands such as lifting over 50 pounds.

Design, program, and support PLC, HMI, and motion control systems; integrate industrial robots; create electrical schematics; commission and troubleshoot automated equipment; interface with MES/SCADA and industrial networks; implement safety systems; support continuous improvement to improve OEE and reduce downtime.

Develop and qualify industrial processes for defense-grade steel forgings, perform first article inspections and validations, apply CpK/PpK and SPC analysis, use RCCA tools, optimize processes with Lean/Six Sigma, manage heat treating and coatings requirements, partner with operations/quality/safety, and perform hands-on shop-floor problem solving.

The Senior Automation Controls Engineer will lead automation strategies, system design, and operational excellence within advanced manufacturing. Responsibilities include mentoring, driving improvements, compliance, and integrating automation solutions.
