The Founding Engineer will establish Ultralytics’ New York engineering team and own AI/computer vision features end to end. Responsibilities include architecture, coding, testing, deployment, production operations, full-stack interfaces, backend services, infrastructure, model serving, and reliability. The role leads technical reviews, mentors and unblocks engineers, coordinates asynchronously across international teams, contributes to open source, and uses AI-assisted development tools. Strong practical experience with Python, PyTorch, ML/computer vision, full-stack systems, cloud infrastructure, and production delivery is required.

Deploy and optimize YOLO computer vision models on embedded and edge hardware. Build export and inference integrations across runtimes, SDKs, CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, and SoCs; debug conversion and INT8 quantization accuracy issues; benchmark deployments; maintain hardware CI and Docker images; and manage technical integrations with silicon and hardware partners. The role also includes documentation, developer support, partner coordination, and industry demonstrations.

Design and deliver computer vision solutions using Ultralytics YOLO, including model training, export, quantization, integration, and deployment. Lead partner-facing technical discovery, scope projects, build demos and prototypes, review GitHub contributions, and create technical documentation. Collaborate with partnerships, product, and engineering teams while supporting deployments across platforms and representing Ultralytics in meetings and events.

Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and go-to-market roles across global markets. Build sourcing strategies and talent pipelines, partner with hiring managers, assess candidates, improve ATS workflows, track recruiting analytics, support compensation planning, negotiate offers, and deliver a strong candidate experience. The role coordinates hiring across China, the UK, Spain, and the USA while supporting employer branding and distributed teams.

Own and grow a named portfolio of North American enterprise accounts, managing complex B2B sales cycles from discovery through negotiation, contracting, and close. Build account plans, multithread stakeholder relationships, qualify opportunities, forecast pipeline, and expand customer adoption. Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Legal, and Product to demonstrate YOLO’s value, navigate enterprise requirements, and develop repeatable land-and-expand strategies.

Designs and deploys production computer vision solutions using Ultralytics YOLO. Responsibilities include technical discovery, architecture design, Python prototyping, model training and optimization, benchmarking, deployment across cloud and edge environments, customer demos, workshops, proof-of-concepts, stakeholder management, and creating reusable documentation and integrations. The role partners with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering while owning technical outcomes throughout the customer lifecycle.

Lead technical discovery and design for computer vision solutions using YOLO. Build Python prototypes, train and optimize models, deploy across cloud and edge, run POCs, deliver demos/workshops, and drive customer outcomes while collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering.

Manage 30–40 enterprise and high-value mid-market accounts across onboarding, deployment, adoption, expansion, and renewal. Lead technical onboarding, run QBRs and executive reviews, build account and success plans, drive net dollar retention and expansion, collaborate with AEs, SEs, Product and Engineering, and track account health and renewal forecasts in the CRM.

Design and implement novel neural network architectures for YOLO, run large-scale experiments and ablation studies, optimize models for accuracy and efficiency (quantization/pruning/distillation), build training and evaluation pipelines, and collaborate with R&D and engineering to productionize open-source models.

Lead end-to-end creative production for marketing, web, social, events, motion, and print. Implement brand uplift with an agency, lead design QA and research, and collaborate with Growth, Product, and Creative to translate complex vision-AI concepts into clear, on-brand visuals under a fast startup pace.

Develop and scale LLM-powered applications and RAG systems, integrate multi-API workflows, design vector storage and data pipelines, fine-tune LLMs, collaborate on multi-modal computer vision projects, and automate CI/CD for deployment and testing.

Build and lead Ultralytics' legal function: enforce and negotiate AGPL/Enterprise licensing, draft and negotiate commercial SaaS and vendor contracts, manage IP portfolio, advise on GDPR and international data transfers, establish AI governance and legal operations, and manage outside counsel across jurisdictions.

Develop, train, and validate state-of-the-art computer vision models (detection, segmentation, classification). Write production-ready Python/PyTorch code, optimize models (quantization, pruning) for inference with TensorRT/OpenVINO/ONNX, manage large datasets and augmentations, build CI/CD (GitHub Actions), containerize with Docker, collaborate on research and open-source, and produce documentation and community support.

Design, build, and scale the Ultralytics HUB: backend services (Python/FastAPI), frontend apps (TypeScript/Nuxt.js), GCP/Docker infrastructure, microservices, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, integrate computer vision/MLOps capabilities, and maintain code quality and performance.

Ensure quality, reliability, and performance of Ultralytics platform by designing and maintaining automated test suites (frontend, backend, APIs), leading Playwright-based testing, writing Next.js API and integration tests, validating data and workflows with MongoDB and ML pipelines, owning CI/CD test infrastructure (GitHub Actions), establishing monorepo testing patterns, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with Product and Engineering on acceptance criteria and release readiness.
