Maintain COMSEC equipment, monitor and resolve requests, support training, customer vendors, metrics, facility tours, and system testing. The role is on-site, may require occasional travel, and requires active TS/SCI clearance.

Lead and assure implementation of ISO 15288 systems engineering across projects. Provide technical direction, develop SE artefacts, coordinate design reviews, manage customers/suppliers, estimate effort/costs, coach and line-manage systems engineers, and support proposals and security compliance for defence cyber cryptographic/key management solutions.

Define architectures, processes, CI/CD, secure development standards, mentor engineers, author technical proposals, ensure compliance with high-assurance and coding standards (e.g., MISRA), and coordinate with systems, hardware, and firmware teams.

Lead engineering delivery for programmes, managing systems engineering teams across lifecycle activities including architecture, integration, requirements, risk management, budgeting, scheduling, and customer/subcontractor engagement while ensuring security and standards compliance.

Build, manage and support air-gapped on‑premises VDI and core infrastructure across Maidenhead and Farnborough. Lead VDI migrations, optimise VDI performance and security, manage servers, networks and HCI, run incident/change management, ensure compliance and DR/BC readiness, automate tasks with scripting, coordinate vendors, and deliver strategic IT projects aligned to global IT strategy.

Develop and implement project and product quality plans, perform audits (including AS9101), conduct inspections and FAIs, manage non-conformances and corrective actions, improve processes and stakeholder quality outcomes, and promote a quality-focused culture within cyber/defence projects.

Lead and manage multi-discipline systems engineering delivery across projects to meet scope, budget and schedule. Lead safety and reliability engineering for defence electronic products: perform hazard analyses (FMEA/FMECA, FTA, PHA/FHA), define safety requirements, manage hazard logs and safety cases, influence design, support verification/validation, mentor engineers, and interface with customers and assurance bodies to ensure compliance with defence safety standards.

Lead systems engineering for a defence cyber programme, implementing ISO/IEEE/IEC lifecycle processes, defining and delivering system solutions, managing technical teams, assuring requirements flow-down, coordinating architects, overseeing design reviews, supplier/customer engagement, producing technical proposals and artefacts, and supporting security clearance-sensitive activities.

Lead end-to-end planning, delivery and governance of complex multidisciplinary engineering projects and bids. Manage bid lifecycle, stakeholder engagement, schedules, budgets, risks, compliance, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet schedule, cost, quality and security requirements.

Design, implement and maintain automated test solutions and facilities for electronic products (production and qualification). Responsibilities include analyzing operational and maintenance issues, managing safety and airworthiness compliance, coordinating equipment modifications, supporting customer integration and flight trials, liaising with military and international stakeholders, preparing technical proposals and estimates, and supporting field service and program delivery.

Lead FPGA firmware architecture, design, implementation, integration and verification. Produce requirements-derived firmware specs, documentation and traceability. Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, chair technical reviews, estimate work, manage firmware processes, and act as firmware lead. Ensure compliance with standards, manage information security, and support project reporting and delivery in defence environments.
