Lead independent research on electrochemical soil sensors and system integration, generate proposals and funding, publish and protect IP, manage projects and labs, supervise students, deploy and validate sensors in field conditions, and engage industry and collaborators for technology translation.

Lead technical work packages in power‑electronics research for energy systems, coordinate project delivery and budgets, develop proposals and publications, design and test converters and prototypes (HIL/real‑time platforms), liaise with industry partners, supervise junior researchers, ensure quality, safety and compliance, and participate in outreach and education activities.

The Principal Scientist/Senior Researcher II will lead research in photonic-electronic integration, develop a research team, secure funding, and manage projects, while fostering collaboration and innovation in the field.

Fully funded PhD to design low-noise CMOS readout electronics and a 30-photodiode array ASIC for wearable interferometric NIR spectroscopy (iNIRS). Responsibilities include specifications, analog/mixed-signal ASIC design, tapeouts, benchtop demonstrator, and engagement with industry and outreach activities.

Fully funded PhD to integrate a chip-on-tip FLIM/RGB+ imaging module for a single-use multimodal endoscope. Work includes hybrid integration of UV laser, LEDs, and 3D-stacked time-resolved SPAD array into a 3 mm package, PIC source research, and experimental validation on tissue phantoms and colorectal tissues toward clinical translation.

Fully-funded 4-year PhD to design foundry-compatible photonic integrated circuits and pulsing schemes for FLIM-enabled single-use endoscopes. Work includes simulation, PIC design, experimental benchmarking of UV/violet pulsed laser architectures, and development of packaging-ready PICs, with cross-theme collaboration, industry engagement, and public outreach.

Provide high-level administrative, financial and organisational support to the Biophotonics research team, managing project budgets, reporting, procurement, recruitment, meetings, compliance, and stakeholder liaison to ensure effective operation of national, EU and industry-funded research projects.

Develop AI-driven detection, classification, and localisation algorithms for RF spectrum monitoring and GPS-denied geopositioning. Implement and validate algorithms in C++/Julia/Python/MATLAB, deploy on SDR/USRP hardware and UAV platforms, conduct field trials, publish results, supervise students, and ensure quality and safety compliance.
