Conduct research on photonic devices and compact photonic circuits, focusing on semiconductor device simulation, process-flow design, mask layout, fabrication, micro-transfer printing, integration, and electro-optic characterization. Conduct research on wireless sensing and communication for UAV and non-terrestrial platforms. Develop beamforming, direction-finding, sensing waveforms, antenna arrays, and radar/communications signal processing. Implement algorithms in C++, Julia, Python, and MATLAB, validate them on software-defined radio hardware, and conduct real-world UAV field trials. Fully funded four-year PhD researching integrated sensing and communication for UAV and non-terrestrial networks. The candidate will develop signal-processing algorithms, sensing waveforms, beamforming and localisation methods; implement them using software-defined radios and programmable hardware; analyse RF datasets; and conduct laboratory and outdoor UAV field trials. Responsibilities also include publishing research, presenting findings, collaborating with academic and industry partners, and supporting education and public engagement activities.

Design and execute a research programme on oxide semiconductor thin-film transistors for advanced CMOS integration. Responsibilities include device and test-structure design, fabrication process development, electrical measurement planning, TCAD simulation, data analysis, and materials collaboration. The role also involves grant development, project coordination, publications, technical mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and support for NanoIC pilot-line activities.

Leads development, optimisation, qualification and operation of ALD and thin-film processes for emerging semiconductor materials and advanced FET/MOSFET devices. Owns process windows, tool performance, equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, metrology, DoE, process integration and wafer-scale technology transfer. Provides technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams, supports cleanroom safety and quality compliance, and mentors junior engineers, students and researchers.

Supports the PIXEurope Training Programme by developing and delivering digital learning activities, webinars, online resources, and training content. Manages LMS administration, training schedules, evaluations, reporting, learner analytics, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. Coordinates technical experts, project partners, and European stakeholders to translate research into accessible learning materials. Supports in-person events, project reporting, dissemination, and education activities while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
