Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland

Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland is a semi-independent state agency serving Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties. Formed in 2001, it facilitates regional planning and economic development and serves as the area’s federally designated Economic Development District. The Council develops regional priorities, promotes workforce development, and works with governmental and community partners to expand employment, housing, healthcare, sustainability, and quality of life.
