Own the architecture, integration, testing, and field deployment of remote-operation and autonomy controls for heavy hydraulic machinery. Responsibilities include CAN/J1939 integration, electro-hydraulic actuation, safety systems, machine-side software, sensors, operator interfaces, telemetry, schematics, wiring, and hardware-in-the-loop and field testing. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting in demanding outdoor environments, frequent travel, and collaboration with mechanical and hydraulics engineering leadership.

Own the transition from design to production for complex mechanical machines. Interface with suppliers, review drawings and BOMs, ensure production readiness, oversee on-site assembly and integration, develop production documentation and tracking, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and support qualification and acceptance testing to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.

Design, build, and test mechanical systems for autonomous tunnel-machines, focusing on structures, chassis, and heavy-equipment hydraulic systems. Own hardware through lifecycle, produce manufacturing and test documentation, integrate subsystems, select materials, track mass/cost/schedules, and support qualification testing (acoustic, vibration, shock, thermal). Incorporate field feedback to iterate designs.
