The Senior Tax Analyst will manage recurring U.S. and international indirect tax compliance, including sales and use tax, GST, and VAT filings. Responsibilities include preparing returns, reconciling tax data, recording journal entries, maintaining compliance calendars, coordinating with Avalara and external advisors, supporting audits and tax notices, and assisting with direct tax, payroll tax, registrations, and process automation. The role partners across Finance, Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Payroll, and Operations while helping bring compliance activities in-house.

Own recurring indirect tax compliance across U.S. and international jurisdictions, including preparing returns, reconciling tax data, recording journal entries, maintaining compliance calendars, and coordinating filings, payments, notices, audits, and registrations. The role supports direct tax compliance, payroll tax matters, tax research, process improvements, and automation while partnering with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Payroll, Operations, Avalara, and external advisors.

Provides broad corporate legal support across governance, commercial and technology contracts, litigation, privacy, cybersecurity, product development, and regulatory risk. Drafts and negotiates SaaS, licensing, vendor, data processing, and trader agreements; manages outside counsel, litigation, subpoenas, corporate records, and legal research. Advises leadership and cross-functional teams, supports privacy and security incidents, and delivers internal legal and compliance training.

Maintains CRM data hygiene, subscription settings, folder structures, and marketing assets in HubSpot. Supports lifecycle and evergreen email campaigns through setup, scheduling, tracking, attribution, monitoring, and pre-send QA. Evaluates and configures new CRM tools, coordinates with Creative, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing Operations, and QA teams, and ensures email communications are accurate, functional, and deliverability-ready.

Leads and optimizes multi-channel paid acquisition campaigns across search, social, video, and emerging channels. Manages budgets, advertising partners, experimentation frameworks, creative and messaging tests, attribution analysis, and funnel optimization. Collaborates with Growth, Analytics, Product, Lifecycle Marketing, and Creative teams to improve CAC, CPL, ROAS, conversion rates, and incremental acquisition performance. Provides performance reporting and recommendations to guide channel investment and scaling decisions.

Build and operate full-stack trader-facing and internal applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, and AWS. Own features from technical design through production, focusing on reliability, scalability, security, observability, testing, and safe deployment. Collaborate with Product and Design, guide architecture, mentor engineers, participate in on-call support, and resolve production issues. Work with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, databases, payments, and identity services.

Build and ship Topstep’s mobile trading MVP using React Native and TypeScript for iOS and Android. Own features from design through release, establish reusable architecture and components, integrate GraphQL and real-time data, optimize performance and reliability, write tests, support production, and mentor engineers. Collaborate cross-functionally to create accessible, responsive mobile experiences for high-volume trading activity.

Lead and develop a software engineering team responsible for customer-facing products, payments, onboarding, internal tools, and production systems. Set technical direction, guide architecture, manage reliability and incident response, oversee delivery planning, and partner with Product, Design, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders. The role includes hiring, coaching, performance management, capacity planning, operational excellence, and accountability for system quality, availability, performance, and delivery outcomes.

Own and evolve core areas of TopstepX, a real-time futures trading platform. Define product strategy, lead complex initiatives from discovery through delivery, prioritize trader needs, write requirements, manage roadmaps, and partner with engineering, design, risk, compliance, operations, and support. The role emphasizes platform reliability, performance, resilience, measurable outcomes, and intuitive trader experiences across market data, order management, risk, and performance workflows.

Manages the general ledger team and oversees payroll accounting, accounts payable coding and payouts, equity rollforwards, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly flux analysis. Reviews team deliverables, ensures audit readiness, maintains internal controls, supports multi-entity accounting, and partners cross-functionally on accounting processes. The role also drives process improvements in NetSuite and may assume additional ownership of intercompany, cash, leases, or fixed assets.

Lead design and delivery of cloud-native .NET services for a high-throughput trading platform. Own end-to-end systems, drive architecture and reliability, mentor engineers, participate in on-call and incident response, and occasionally contribute to React/TypeScript frontend work while establishing engineering standards and observability.

Lead development of automated API, UI, and end-to-end tests for a real-time trading platform. Extend AI-assisted test generation, build scalable CI/CD test frameworks for order lifecycles and market-data streams, reduce flakiness, triage failures, mentor engineers, and drive quality and testability across the product.

Support month-end close for assigned GL areas including lease accounting (ASC 842), expense report and corporate card processing, bank transaction uploads, reconciliations, audit support, SOP maintenance, and process improvements using NetSuite and Excel.

Build, own, and operate cloud-native .NET services powering real-time trading, market data, and brokerage integrations. Ship features end-to-end, write tests, participate in on-call rotations, improve observability, and occasionally contribute to React/TypeScript frontend work.

Lead and supervise live Trade Desk and Platform Support operations within an NFA/CFTC-regulated environment. Manage real-time trading risk, client escalations, platform incident response, FCM interactions, compliance with retention and record-keeping rules, cross-functional collaboration with Engineering/Product/Risk, and staff development to ensure scalable, auditable, and compliant operational processes.
