Own a regional portfolio of college and university accounts, prospect for new business, conduct discovery and product demonstrations, present Top Hat’s SaaS and digital textbook solutions, negotiate and close full-cycle sales, and collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to grow revenue and support strong customer outcomes.

Build and improve scalable full-stack products for higher education, owning initiatives across the software development lifecycle from discovery through release. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering in a cross-functional Scrum team, experiment with AI technologies, resolve bugs, complete tickets, and deliver reliable, tested, user-focused features.

Manage an assigned territory of colleges and universities, prospect professors and department leaders, demonstrate Top Hat’s SaaS and digital textbook products, and close new business. Responsibilities include full-cycle sales, cold calling, discovery, demos, negotiations, complex deal management, and collaboration with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams. The role requires substantial travel to campuses in the Austin and San Antonio territory.

Lead design and delivery of scalable backend features, mentor engineers, ensure operational excellence and system reliability, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive architecture and automation improvements.

Maintain and optimize data pipelines and models, monitor and resolve data issues, translate stakeholder needs into SQL, build and maintain internal dashboards, support ad-hoc requests, and apply software engineering best practices under senior guidance.

Lead and mentor an engineering team to deliver high-quality web and mobile products. Own performance management, strategic planning, backlog prioritization, cross-functional collaboration with Product and Design, technical excellence, and conflict resolution. Drive continuous improvement in architecture, code quality, and team processes.
