Own a territory of colleges and universities, prospect professors and department leaders, demonstrate Top Hat’s SaaS and digital textbook products, and manage the full sales cycle from cold outreach through negotiation and closing. Partner with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to improve customer outcomes and revenue. The role includes seasonal travel to campuses throughout the assigned New England territory.

Manage and grow a territory of colleges and universities by prospecting professors, demonstrating Top Hat’s SaaS and digital textbook products, and closing new business. Responsibilities include full-cycle sales, cold calling, discovery, product demonstrations, solution presentations, negotiation, and closing. The role requires collaborating with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams, traveling extensively to campuses, and meeting revenue and performance goals.

Build and improve scalable full-stack products for higher education, owning initiatives across the software development lifecycle from discovery through release. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering in a cross-functional Scrum team, experiment with AI technologies, resolve bugs, complete tickets, and deliver reliable, tested, user-focused features.

Lead design and delivery of scalable backend features, mentor engineers, ensure operational excellence and system reliability, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive architecture and automation improvements.

Lead and mentor an engineering team to deliver high-quality web and mobile products. Own performance management, strategic planning, backlog prioritization, cross-functional collaboration with Product and Design, technical excellence, and conflict resolution. Drive continuous improvement in architecture, code quality, and team processes.
