The People & Culture Business Partner will enhance employee experience and engagement, integrate AI into HR functions, and drive DEI initiatives, while supporting talent acquisition and organizational change.

Conduct research combining atmospheric science and machine learning to improve weather prediction. Develop, train, evaluate, and optimize AI forecasting models; maximize satellite observation value; explore ML-based data assimilation; and work with large geophysical datasets. Collaborate with scientists and engineers to transition research into scalable operational products, while communicating results through technical reviews, discussions, conferences, and publications.

Lead development, integration, and verification of satellite payloads. Define requirements, manage interfaces, plan and execute integration and verification, perform trade studies and performance modeling, identify and mitigate technical risks, and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams from concept through launch and operations to deliver reliable mission-ready systems.

Lead architecture, design, integration, and delivery of space-based microwave payloads. Translate sensing objectives into requirements, perform radiometric performance modeling, lead trade studies, define calibration strategies, manage integration/testing, mitigate technical risks, and collaborate across engineering, program, and science teams to deliver mission-ready microwave sensing systems.

Own end-to-end delivery of complex international government programs across multiple countries, including contracting, technical delivery, POCs, deployment, support, reporting, invoicing, and compliance. Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, stakeholders, partners, and cross-functional teams while supporting pre-sales activities. Build program frameworks in a fast-growing environment, maintain momentum across concurrent engagements, and serve as the primary customer contact. International travel and direct experience with non-U.S. government agencies are required.

Develop mission-critical embedded and application software in C++ and Rust for software-defined radar systems and weather satellite constellations. Design interfaces connecting payload controllers, processors, and spacecraft subsystems; integrate software with hardware, firmware, and systems; and support radar configuration, command, control, and data acquisition. Diagnose issues across software, firmware, and hardware boundaries while delivering reliable, maintainable solutions for SoC-based platforms.

Support development, integration, verification, and performance assessment of EO/IR imaging payloads for a weather-observation constellation. Translate mission needs into requirements, perform radiometry/SNR/MTF and image-quality analyses, support alignment, calibration, environmental testing, and lifecycle activities across payload, spacecraft, software, and science teams to ensure on-orbit performance.

Own and evolve cloud-native and HPC infrastructure to maximize reliability, security, cost-efficiency, and developer experience. Build self-service platforms, integrate MLOps for GPU deployments, support SLURM-based scientific workloads, implement monitoring and CI/CD, adopt AI-powered developer and ops tooling, and participate in on-call to maintain production availability.

Lead and manage regulatory licensing and export-control programs for spacecraft and Earth-observation operations. Develop export classifications, licensing strategies, Technology Control Plans, and governance frameworks. Advise on international collaborations, supplier engagements, and mission compliance. Partner with engineering, operations, legal, security, and executive teams to integrate regulatory requirements across product lifecycle, launches, and global expansion. Build training, policies, and monitor emerging regulatory changes.

Deploy, integrate, and operationalize Tomorrow.io's SaaS, APIs, and data services within U.S. defense mission environments. Serve as primary technical resource during field engagements, design and troubleshoot integrations (e.g., Palantir), capture operational requirements, produce deployment playbooks, and drive customer adoption through cross-functional collaboration and documentation. Heavy customer travel and defense program engagement.

Lead and mentor AIT manufacturing engineers and technicians to develop integration strategies, production processes, schedules, and test plans for spacecraft. Coordinate cross-functionally (systems, mechanical, electrical, quality, supply chain) to manage engineering changes, nonconformance, configuration, contamination control, and ESD practices while driving continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and scalable manufacturing capability.

Develop, integrate, and verify satellite payload systems for an Earth-observation constellation. Define requirements, manage interfaces, plan and execute integration and verification, perform trade studies and performance modeling, identify and mitigate risks, and coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering and scientific teams through concept, launch, and operations.

Lead and stand up a 24/7 ICAO Annex 3–compliant aviation weather centre: hire and manage forecasters, define forecasting methods and SOPs, produce and approve METARs, TAFs, SIGMETs/AIRMETs/FPGs/SIGWx, oversee training and competency, and represent the centre to regulators and airline stakeholders.
