Prepares meals and special diets according to standardized recipes and therapeutic menu guidelines. Maintains sanitary food handling and a clean work environment, assists with receiving and storing supplies, operates the hot food station and tray assembly line, and follows long-term care dietary policies. Communicates with residents, families, and staff, completes training, and performs physically demanding duties including standing, walking, lifting, and cleaning.

Supervises nursing unit operations, staffing, resident care, medication administration, treatments, hospital transfers, and compliance with physician orders. The role supports nursing staff orientation, student placements, departmental planning, and communication with the Director of Nursing regarding resident needs and care issues.
