Conduct safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations at a precast concrete manufacturing plant. Develop corrective actions, maintain safety documentation, deliver employee training, lead toolbox talks, support safety committees, and ensure emergency equipment and operations comply with OSHA and other applicable regulations.

Develop and manage customer relationships in industrial markets (manufacturing, construction, energy). Generate new business, prepare accurate proposals, represent the company on bids, report activity in CRM, and support projects from initiation through handoff to project management.

Owns precast concrete product lines from concept through manufacturing, shipment, and continuous improvement. Partners with Engineering, Purchasing, Production Planning, Operations, and Sales to standardize products, optimize reinforcement and formwork, reduce variation and waste, improve casting schedules, control costs, and enhance manufacturing productivity across multiple facilities. The role also develops product standards, reviews specifications, analyzes manufacturing performance, and evaluates emerging production technologies.

Manages plant and field safety, health, and environmental programs. Develops safety procedures and training, investigates incidents, coordinates workers’ compensation claims, conducts audits and air monitoring, manages contractor compliance, oversees environmental programs, maintains regulatory documentation, supports ISO certification, and ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.

Manage design and engineering of precast concrete projects: generate drawings from construction documents, coordinate with sales/estimating/PM/operations/customers, mentor junior staff, manage multiple projects, perform field observations and track repairs, and provide fabrication and erection details.

Provide administrative and project support to Project Managers: manage calendars and meetings, organize and distribute project documentation, serve as communication hub for stakeholders, update project management tools to track tasks and milestones, and assist with expense tracking and invoice processing.

Manage precast concrete projects from post-sale through closeout, ensuring contract compliance, schedules, budgets, invoicing, and customer communication. Facilitate meetings, negotiate change orders, enforce safety and quality procedures, support production and field schedules, and complete project close-out documentation and post-mortem reviews.

Manage design and drafting of precast concrete projects, produce engineering packages and drawings from construction documents, interface with sales/estimating/project teams and customers, mentor junior staff, perform field observations and report, and support fabrication/erection coordination.

Design and manage engineering for complex precast concrete projects. Produce drawings and engineering packages from construction or conceptual documents, coordinate with sales, project management, plant and erectors, oversee multiple projects and junior engineers, perform field inspections and observation reports, support approvals and fabrication, and contribute to engineering standards and departmental reporting.

Manage engineering department for precast concrete manufacturing: supervise staff, review and seal drawings, perform structural analysis, coordinate with contractors/clients, oversee budgets, drive quality improvements, support production and new product/process development, and mentor engineers while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Prepare shop tickets and erection drawings for precast concrete structures using CAD software. Create and scrub shop cards, detail steel cards from sketches, and coordinate with Project Lead to verify and finalize drawings under Engineer Lead supervision.

Operate sandblasting equipment to apply and match light, medium, or heavy finishes to precast concrete panels and architectural members. Prepare sample panels for customer approval, handle associated chemicals (sand, acid wash, sealers), perform dry finishes, wash retarders, patch architectural products, and coordinate with supervisors and sales to meet customer requirements.
