Part-time intern supporting nonprofit organizational initiatives, administrative tasks, and department-specific projects. The role provides hands-on professional experience while developing communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills in an organization serving people with complex physical and intellectual challenges. The schedule is approximately 20 hours weekly and can accommodate school commitments.

Administers employee benefits programs, leave policies, and related processes. Supports employees with benefits questions, maintains records, ensures regulatory compliance, coordinates with insurers and vendors, prepares communications, supports open enrollment, audits benefits billing, and administers FMLA, short-term disability, long-term disability, and workers’ compensation programs.

Leads and oversees multiple residential homes serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Supervises managers and program specialists, supports DSP staffing, monitors quality, compliance, documentation, budgets, payroll, scheduling, and resident well-being. Conducts site visits, participates in audits and performance-based contracting, collaborates with clinical and administrative teams, and communicates with families and external stakeholders. The role requires regional travel, on-call participation, and strong regulatory, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Leads Verland’s IT strategy, governance, infrastructure, networks, applications, security, disaster recovery, budgets, and technology projects. Advises executive leadership, aligns technology with business priorities, evaluates emerging technologies, oversees compliance and performance, and manages the IT department. The role includes hiring, coaching, developing staff, optimizing operating costs, and ensuring secure, reliable, cost-effective information systems.

Advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by coordinating Individual Support Plans, assessments, services, medical care, documentation, staff training, medication oversight, and regulatory compliance. Monitors individual progress, supervises programming, supports health and safety needs, coordinates appointments, manages related funds, and serves as an on-call investigator. Requires availability for 24/7 on-call coverage and collaboration with families, staff, and service teams.

Leads implementation and administration of a centralized electronic scheduling program across residential and community-based locations. Coordinates staffing coverage, open shifts, vacancies, float and PRN deployment, and agency assignments. Develops scheduling procedures, templates, reports, training materials, and workflows; supports users and troubleshoots system issues. Monitors staffing trends, overtime, compliance, agency utilization, and schedule accuracy while partnering with operational and HR leaders to improve workforce efficiency and stability.

Assist the ATF supervisor by coordinating and supervising programming carried out by DSPs, ensure implementation of individual ISPs and daily schedules, train staff, pass medications and document, support community outings, attend required in-service training and meetings, and perform related duties.

Lead fundraising and communications efforts in partnership with the CEO and leadership: identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors; manage grants and donor data; draft appeals and marketing materials; plan and oversee fundraising events and facility rentals; grow volunteer and corporate partnerships; manage marketing materials and Events Committee; attend community meetings to increase visibility and donor retention.

Provide advocacy and coordination of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Assess needs, ensure medical care and documentation compliance, train and supervise DSPs, monitor progress and house funds, schedule/attend medical appointments, maintain medication administration and practicum observer certifications, act as certified investigator on-call, and support ISP development, reviews, and regulatory compliance.
