Leads armed security operations for an assigned squad, supervises personnel, assumes incident command when senior officers are absent, reviews reports, enforces policies, and supports security and traffic-control planning. The role also manages assigned department projects, maintains equipment and vehicles, patrols university properties, responds to emergencies, and performs physically demanding armed security duties across varying shifts and locations.

Provides armed patrol and security services across university properties, including incident response, access control, alarm monitoring, crowd and traffic control, emergency first aid, and protection of people, buildings, cash, and valuables. Documents incidents, testifies in proceedings, supports museum security, assists motorists, and uses force when necessary. The part-time role requires physical fitness, firearms qualification, irregular shifts, and work during special events and emergencies.
