Conduct ship checks and onboard assessments, assist with technical documentation, repair specifications, cost estimates, and AutoCAD drawing updates. Support evaluations of electrical, structural, piping, and mechanical systems, participate in shipyard inspections, review CMMS records, coordinate with teams, and contribute to project planning under senior mentorship.

Lead hands-on integration and testing of shipboard electronics, communications, power distribution, mission networks, and control systems during construction, dock trials, and sea trials. Validate sensor-to-display data flow, alarms, failovers, power systems, AFE interfaces, and troubleshoot ship/GFE boundaries to ensure trial readiness and compliance with test events.

Produce standards-compliant 2D shipboard electrical power, control, and PLC schematics. Maintain drafting standards, update drawings from reviews and vendor data, support engineering and fabrication, and perform onboard field verification and redline walkdowns.

Embedded naval architect at FL shipyards supporting active vessel construction. Owns intact and damage stability analyses, leads inclining experiments, controls weight tracking, assesses production/design changes, resolves deckplate technical issues, reviews RFIs/NCRs and vendor deliverables, supports regulatory submittals (ABS, USCG, WSF), and readies vessels for trials. Requires on-site shipboard inspections and shipyard-facing communication.

Owns assigned ship compartments through construction to final closeout, coordinating trades and subcontractors, tracking progress against schedule, identifying risks and sequencing conflicts, ensuring milestone alignment, and driving production improvements to prevent rework and maintain vessel construction timelines.

Lead development of detailed vessel design and production packages for aluminum and steel ships, including 3D models, 2D production drawings, lofting outputs, nests, BOMs, and technical documentation. Support design-to-production handoff, resolve constructability issues, collaborate with production and engineering teams, perform basic engineering checks, maintain configuration-controlled records, and provide on-site construction support, trials, and documentation updates.

Lead naval architecture and structural engineering for new construction and modernization programs. Perform DDAM shock and FEA analyses, develop buildable 3D models and TDPs, ensure NAVSEA/ABS compliance, conduct ship checks, resolve shipyard installation issues, and mentor junior engineers to deliver executable designs and reduce rework.
