Develops and improves manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and machine designs for ammunition production. Troubleshoots production issues, implements cost reductions, reviews drawings and bills of materials, supports equipment guarding and new product introduction, and manages major equipment failure projects involving capital expenditures, redesign, scheduling, and resources.

Supports the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems. Analyzes operational data, identifies root causes, implements corrective actions, leads process and capital improvement projects, maintains process documentation, supports new product introductions, and provides technical guidance and training to manufacturing personnel. Provide hands-on Quality Engineering for the shotshell product line: lead process improvements using SPC/DOE, drive Six Sigma projects, support supplier and capital projects, implement inspection/measurement systems, analyze quality data, and improve the quality management system (ISO 9000).

Leads capital and non-capital manufacturing engineering projects, including equipment and process design, project execution, tooling improvements, new product introduction, cost reduction, supplier and material qualification, troubleshooting, engineering changes, and FMEA. The role supports high-volume metallic parts manufacturing and collaborates with product development and factory teams in a hazardous ammunition production environment.

Performs manufacturing audits to verify product, process, SOP, and QMS compliance. Collects samples, conducts visual and dimensional inspections, documents findings, communicates quality issues, trains adjusters on gauging, and performs process capability studies and SPC audits. The role requires data analysis, documentation, teamwork, independent work, and occasional handling of hazardous areas involving flammables and explosives.

Design, program, and commission PLC-based automated manufacturing systems; develop HMI/SCADA; integrate vision, robotics, and servo motion; ensure NEC/OSHA and machine safety compliance; lead projects from concept through commissioning; troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and vision systems; mentor staff and integrate machine data with MES/IT systems.

Manufacture and repair tools, gauges, and machine components to blueprint tolerances. Set up and operate manual and CNC equipment, inspect parts using precision instruments, perform welding/fabrication, troubleshoot machines, maintain supplies and equipment, compute part cost estimates, and train backup operators while following safety procedures.
