Leads Heritage Foundation government relations by communicating policy positions to Congress, Administration officials, and external stakeholders. Develops policymaker relationships, organizes briefings, fellowships, trainings, retreats, and working groups, coordinates coalition and cross-department initiatives, and represents the organization publicly. Requires expertise in federal policy, strong Congressional and Administration relationships, and the ability to shape and explain policy on areas such as technology, energy, healthcare, education, or foreign policy.

The Policy Advisor informs policy positions, develops legislative solutions, conducts research, engages in public speaking, and advises on China and Indo-Pacific issues.

Manage communications on government spending, economy, and energy. Develop messaging and media strategies, pitch stories, draft releases and talking points, build media relationships, prep experts for appearances, coordinate with internal teams, and monitor media coverage to advance policy goals.
